There is a notice on the second page advising: "citizens owning plantations on the Stono, Wadmalaw, and Pon Pon Rivers, and all other points in this Military District, accessible to the enemy, will immediately remove their Negroes, and as far as practiceable, other property, into some safe place in the inferior." Advertisements for food, wool, dry goods, and other miscellaneous items.
