Hutchins (likely Thomas Hutchins, a surveyor and Geographer of the United States) to ask questions about portions of the Muscongus patent. Transcribes the text of an act of legislation passed by the Massachusetts General Court in 1785 on the subject. Asks particularly about navigation of the Penobscot River, which forms the western boundary of the land he describes.
