Signed by Henry Knox and his wife, Lucy Knox. George Reid signed as a witness and David Fales signed as a witness and Justice of Peace. A bargain sale between Henry Knox and Israel Thorndike. Knox acknowledges he received $990 from Thorndike and assigns Thorndike a parcel of land (60 acres) in Thomaston, Maine. Document also states Thorndike owes a note for $300 plus interest and will receive another 200 acres of land. Various other notes and lots are also mentioned. Thomas [Price] noted at the bottom of the second page that the document was received and recorded.

Minutes of meetings concerning land claims of a variety of settlers, examined on a case-by-case basis. The claims pertain to lands "in the first Range North of the Waldo Patent." The meetings were presided over by Salem Towne "in pursuance of a Resolve of the General Court." Minutes were taken by Samuel E. Dutton, who included several comments of his own throughout.

Marked "copy." Relates the experiences of George Ulmer, one of the Justices assigned to keep the peace in Ducktrap, Maine, on 4 July 1805. Received a report that five hundred armed men were assembled in the Davistown area to march to Castine and rescue two prisoners. Discusses his attempts to gather information about the revolt, and the people he found involved. Also relates threats against his life for being a spy.
