Title: [James Sanks Brisbin's epaulets]

Consists of two gold colored brass epaulets. Each epaulet contains (on the epaulet's top) a brass button and an eagle embroidered with silver thread. Measurements reflect epaulet as positioned on a shoulder (width is measured from inner shoulder). The underside of each is padded with red satin. Epaulets are contained within an oval-shaped tin container equipped with a front clasp for closure. The container includes an illegible inscription.

Bradlee is sometimes spelled "Bradley" in other records from the era.

Copy of a receipt for clothing issued to General Knox from 1780-1783. Original was submitted by David Brooks, the assistant clothier general. This copy was created by Major Samuel Shaw, an aide-de-camp to General Knox, who also signed this document. A total of $140.60 worth of clothing is accounted for, which includes boots, blankets, roughly 50 yards of cloth, and his own miscellaneous receipts.

Comments on the severe weather, noting that it will prevent some members from attending an unspecified event (possibly Congress). Hopes Knox has recovered from a "painful disorder."

Thomas Richardson was the general treasurer of Rhode Island. Peter Bours was the speaker of the Rhode Island House of Representatives from 1757-1759. Jacob Isaacks was a Jewish merchant and broker in Newport.

Sweetly expresses her desire to be reunited with him after his six months of service. Discusses making clothes for him. A letter from Rebekah's sister, Elizabeth Wilder, appears on the verso. She reminds William of how much he is missed and loved. Also, comments: "we hear that their is no want for female soldiers in the camp[.] Beware of the Bed Blankit disorder."
