Large chart describing amounts of clothing (hats, coats, vests, woolen breeches, linen breeches, leather breeches, shirts, socks, overalls, stockings, shoes, and blankets) distributed to various units in the artillery. Note on page two says the shipment was sent by public agents from Boston, Massachusetts to Fishkill, New York. From there part of it was sent to White Plains, New York under the control of Captain Lillie, the brigade quartermaster. Copy of a receipt for clothing issued to General Knox from 1780-1783. Original was submitted by David Brooks, the assistant clothier general. This copy was created by Major Samuel Shaw, an aide-de-camp to General Knox, who also signed this document. A total of $140.60 worth of clothing is accounted for, which includes boots, blankets, roughly 50 yards of cloth, and his own miscellaneous receipts.
