One letter from William J. Myers to Mary Rose Myers dated January 24, 1942. William writes that he is pressed for time to write. There is a new group of men set to arrive at 6 o'clock. After the men have their supplies he has to go to Camp Shelby to pick up the men's laundry. He says that the base is changing to a school Squadron. At the end of the letter William mentions that one of the boys hung himself in the bay of their barracks. William signs the letter as "Tex."
