Your Master." His final letter of 12 April 1863 says he will desert if he can't get home.

Key battle material relating to the Chattanooga Campaign appears in letters dated 21 and 28 September, 10 and 14 October, and 22 November 1863. Letter from 28 September also contains a drawing showing artillery positions at Chickamauga.
