His plan also includes reserving the rights to the New York City shipyards for boat repairs for as long as he needs them.

Orders these soldiers put under guard. Asks him to send some proper person to take charge of the train. Docket notes that the situation has been resolved, and signed by Captain Sedwick. Signed by Meigs at the close of the body and, in an abbreviated style, beneath the "True copy" note. This copy is dated May 21; the original order, however, was dated May 25. Discusses the difficulties in obtaining sleighs and horses to collect firewood for the post at West Point. Wants Pickering to engage ten or twelve teams for the job. Requests that the actions taken be forwarded to General Henry Jackson. Includes seller's clipping.
