But Fowle's name is linked to the debt and he promises to pay, requesting that Knox be patient. Fowle's kinsman, Daniel Fowle, wrote to Knox about this debt on 21 May 1773 (see GLC02437.00064). Robert Fowle worked as a printer and publisher in Portsmouth and Exeter, New Hampshire until 1777.
