This agreement says that "the subscriber expecting dayly to receive from Daniel Davis Esq. of Portland, an account of the sales of property in Falmouth hereby pledges himself as soon as he shall receive such account ...that he will transmit to Mrs. Bridge...an order for the amount which will probably be from 1400 to 1500 Dollars." Docket notes this document was given to Moses Copeland for Mr. Bridge.

A certificate certifying that Bradford tendered to Henry Knox a deed of land "lying in the county of Hankock and State of Massachusetts...by a certain agreement made with James Swan." The price was $2 an acre. At the bottom of the document it reads, "the subscriber cannot pronounce as to the validity of the deed nor the right of Mr. Swan to give such a deed.-He cannot accept it - nor pay the fifty thousand dollars."

Was unable to forward the power of attorney to Knox via Mr. [Christopher] Gore, who returned to Boston earlier than she expected. Discusses her children's inheritance of a portion of the Waldo patent lands. Mentions that she would like Mr. [Christopher] Gore, Colonel [Jeremiah] Wadsworth, and her husband Mr. Beaumez to act as trustees. Touches on family gossip. Sends her love to Knox, his wife, and their children, Lucy, Julia, Washington and Caroline.

The first portion discusses a land purchase and refers to the opinion of General [Henry] Jackson on the subject. The second portion, likely in Knox's hand, gives Bingham "a carte blanche" to complete a financial arrangement and do what ever is necessary to "get me the money." The third portion, also likely in Knox's hand, discusses purchases of land and again refers to the involvement of General Jackson.

Discusses the canal project Brown wrote to him about, declaring that canals are extremely useful, and while they are expensive to install, they benefit the community dramatically and will return a profit. Mentions his previous experience with canal projects, and comments on other canals in the region. Provides suggestions. Adds that at present his resources are tied up with his land investments in Maine, so he will not be able to invest.
