Title: B.A.A. Concert!

Broadside advertising a concert at Bristol, Rhode Island town hall. Program is divided into two sets, with first set having 8 songs, then an intermission, and then a second set with 9 songs. Songs played by an orchestra, great chorus, chorus, and several solos. Note says "The Grant Piano used on this occasion is from the Warerooms of Geo. F. Newland, Providence." Another note says publications of the music can be had at Newland's store at 215 Westminster Street, Providence. Place written was made Rhode Island because of the reference to Providence.

Depicts General Andrew Jackson, on a white horse, leading his troops in the defense of New Orleans on 8 January 1815, the last major battle of the War of 1812. The American troops are a ragtag group of soldiers, some in uniform, others in frontier garb, and still others in civilian clothes. This portfolio is a reprint of the original 1863 publication. The twenty-nine etchings by Volck were originally published under the name "V. Blada." Made during the Civil War, the etchings show sympathy for the Confederate cause, and distaste for warfare in general. It sardonically illustrates events that allegedly took place in the North and South from New York and Baltimore to Charleston and Vicksburg between 1861 and 1863.
