Title: To Our Fellow Citizens of the United States.

Quotes a Philadelphia newspaper article that characterizes opposition to War of 1812 discussed at a Quaker meeting as treason. The Quakers charge that the article is both false and a fabrication. They claim that political subjects are not discussed at their religious assemblies. They also reaffirm Quaker pacifism, but note that they are bound to live peaceably under the government, even if that means submitting to fines and imprisonment for refusing to bear arms. Issued from a Quaker meeting by the meeting clerk, Jonathan Evans. With Ex-lib stamp.

Blanchard describes the tract of land and might have worked in a local land office in Arkansas, where the tract is situated. This document gave Isaac Sanders, "a private in Talbotts Company of the 19th Regiment of Infantry," 165 acres of land in Arkansas. Defends himself against General James Winchester's attack on his character and conduct in the command of the North Western Army in the War of 1812 Ohio campaign. Concerns who was to blame for sending out a detachment of the army beyond the reach of support. The detachment was almost completely destroyed by the British and Indians. Includes a copy of a letter written to Harrison by Samuel G. Hopkins and dated 24 February 1813 that supports his views. With corrections and an autograph endorsement signed by Harrison on pages 11 and 12.

Second page is a message to the Senate and the House of Representatives about his decision to sign the Tariff Act of 1816 which protected American industries from British competition.

Signed as president and countersigned by Secretary of State Monroe. Partially printed document permits the passage of the merchant schooner Fairy of New York, commanded by Philip J. Quereau. Notes that the schooner weighed 116 tons, was mounted with two guns, and operated with a crew of fifteen men. Numbered 68. Issued shortly before the War of 1812 when the nation was still under the Embargo Act.

He critically examines the Embargo Act of 1807 but asserts that he is not opposed to it. He anticipates further aggression, which later erupted in the War of 1812. Clinton was then vice president and Bailey was a senator from New York.
