Justifies slavery through Christianity: "Thus, the relation of slavery will ever continue in the world, rendered perpetual by Christianity, because it points to Christ, who took upon Him the form of a slave... The Christianity of the Old Testament did not condemn it, neither does the Christianity of the New."

Accompanied by a small card printed at the American Tract Society in Boston, Massachusetts. The card, entitled "Friend, Come to Jesus," encourages Christian conversion. Card measures 13.1 x 8.7 cm.

Title: Injured Humanity; Being A Representation of What the Unhappy Children of Africa Endure from Those Who Call Themselves Christians

Printed broadside on terrible conditions of slavery and the slave trade in the West Indies. Wood, a prolific Quaker-reformist publisher, printed and sold the broadside out of his office at 362 Pearl Street in New York. Describes the sale, horrendous working conditions, and punishments of the slaves. Seven graphic vinettes depict slaves being whipped, sold, and tortured. There is no date of creation on the broadside, but the printing date was discovered as 1805 through research.

While describing dissenssions between denominations in various countries, Adams suddenly stops and asks instead for people to pray for those who fight each other. He calls upon his listeners "Let us teach them by the example of harmony among ourselves, how good and how pleasant a thing it is for brethren (and sisters) to dwell together in unity...when they shall have found...harmony among themselves, we shall be ready…

Also contains a short biography on a copy of Missionaries of Charity letterhead and asks that the donation go to Mother Theresa. Bumpus was said to be the youngest politician ever in the United States.
