Title: to James M. Botsford
Handwritten telegram to Botsford, Captain and Assistant Adjutant General of the 23rd Ohio Infantry from Colonel Paxton. Asks what to do with eight prisoners and some witnesses he has at the camp. Informs that 21 of Godfrey's loyal men came in almost naked and asks if he can supply them with clothing. Has heard that some Confederates are about 45 miles away and states that the refugees feel they can be captured. With pencil endorsement on verso telling Paxton to two Captains about the prisoners.
