He outlines his plans to visit a congregational church at Essex Junction that night and how those plans were derailed by a quarantine going into effect. "we can't leave camp now until further notice. One letter from Teddy Starkey to Rosa Starkey dated June circa 1917-1918. He reports on the quarantine that he has been under. It was lifted the day before and the men were allowed to leave after getting their mouths, noses, and throats sprayed twice. The man that caused the quarantine was named How from N.H. "after being unconscious for 40 hours died." After they were released Teddy went to Queen City Park for dinner.
