Describes military life in Hawaii composed of hiking, building rope bridges and using rubber boats.

We have no idea of how long we will be in Viet Nam. I don't really care how long we're there just so I get to see Chicago again."

On the last page of the newspaper there is an article concerning Nathaniel Gordon's accused crime of international slave trade and his execution.
