Signed with the names of both Beach and Saunders, but appears to be written in the same hand. The two women established and were the proprieters of Saunders' and Beach's Academy for Girls on Meeting House Hill. Beach did serve as the Collector for Gloucester.

"If the result should be in our favor, and you have any voice or influence...you will request the law to authorize the Collector to pay the allowance to the Owner of the Ready Rhino." The Ready Rhino was a ship that belonged to the Winsor's that had been lost at sea, for which they were seeking compensation. In February Hobart petitioned Congress on behalf of Winsor's. Blodget, General Nathanael Greene's aide-de-camp, writes to General George Weedon. Greene informs Weedon that General John Glover's brigade will soon be within a few miles of Greene's troops. Greene has ordered that all troops should be in motion by eight in the morning. Mentions the Marquis (possibly the Marquis de Lafayette). Addressed to Weedon at Moorstown (possibly Moorestown, New Jersey). On address leaf, includes a note indicating that this letter should be allowed to pass to Moorstown, by order of General Greene.

Complains that the Tribune misused a statement made by him to Wendell Phillips at the recent meeting of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society. The statement concerned John C. Fremont, who was active in the Radical Republicans, a group of hard-line abolitionists upset with Lincoln's position toward slavery. Demands that the Tribune insert a correction and print what was said as per the official report of the proceedings of the Society. Signed on first page but one line written on verso, "Mr. Garrison said - I wish to propose, &c."
