Moorman held at Chicago. States that Bowler is on parole pending the release of Moorman, who should be send to the South by way of Memphis. Addresses Hoffman as the Superintendent of Prisoners of War.

Frassanito, Early Photography at Gettysburg (1995), Miller's letters are the only large archive of a soldier from Gettysburg. Bartlett came from Rice City, Rhode Island, and saw action at Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville and Gettysburg. His spelling is poor but his writing is descriptive. The George O. Bartlett collection of Civil War correspondence contains letters and envelopes addressed primarily to his friend, Mr. Ira Andrews of Rice City, Rhode Island. Bartlett wrote most of his letters from Falmouth, Virginia and discusses fighting in the Fredericksburg Campaign (1862-1863) (.03, .04, .07, .13, .14). He also comments on abolition, and apathy in the North (GLC02163.06). Furthermore, Edward's letters reveal his profound concern for the well-being of his family (Edwards was one of ten siblings born between the years of 1822 and 1839).

Covers a number of periods. Book was first used as a morning report book by Company G of the First Florida Volunteers in the summer of 1862.
