This document is a copy of the Constitutional Telegraphe published in 1800. It reports on the "Triumph of Democracy," the funeral of Washington (with diagram of procession) and reports a speech of Gov. McKean. The top of the newpaper is decorated with a masthead of an eagle and the motto "We advocate the rights of man." The newspaper was active from 1799-1802 and supported Thomas Jefferson during his Presidency.

William J. Dodge was convicted in the U.S. District Court of Western New York of making seditious utterances while the U.S. was a war, in violation section 3 of the Espionage Act of 16 May 1918, appeal was denied by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals 13 October 1919 and the Supreme Court denied a petition for a writ of certiorari. Dodge began serving his sentence at the State penitentiary at Baltimore, Maryland on 22 January 1920. Wilson commuted his sentence to expire on 22 November 1920. Countersigned by William L. Though the winner of the election was not official until December 2nd, enough states had held their elections for Jackson to be confident of victory.

Temperance broadside printed by N. Coverly. The broadside (possibly playing-off recent news relating to Indians?) quotes an excerpt from a letter of Capt. Hendricks of the Stockbridge Nation to Col. Pickering, 1794 in which he says that the enemy of the Indian "is named RUM! and he is your son, and begat by the white people; and we believe you have the power to control him...." The lower half of the broadside has a general Christian sermon against rum entitled "The Address to Drunkards," which concludes with the admonition, "Reader, art thou guilty of the sin of drunkenness?"
