John got hypothermia after going out to meet the rest of the company. He was sent to the hospital, but sent a letter to Joseph yesterday saying "he was getting better very fast." Is feeling "first rate" and hopes she is too. He and Joseph pray together in their shanty often. Thinks "we have wasted too much of our precious time." "If the good Lord spares my life to come back to my dear loving family, I never will forget to serve as long as I live." Prays once, sometimes twice daily.
