General McCook, commander of 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, Cavalry Corps, transmits a communication from a surgeon in charge of an unspecified Confederate hospital. Indicates he intends "to send it through by a bye road in rear of their pickets so as to find their main camp. I can do it without difficulty unless the General Commanding sees some impropriety in it; or probably he would prefer sending it from his front."
