Writes she has no pasteboard at home, but would be able to find some elsewhere. Notes she has enclosed five dollars for the missing pasteboard. Mentions that Annie, [Latham], and Lilly filled a pushcart, and with the aid of an African American man brought it to the ward of a hospital. Upon arriving there, she found that the doctor was not there. Writes that Mr. Harmon was at their house that morning and left a note from the doctor. Written to "Sallie," likely referring to Sarah Ogden.

Writes that Mrs. Yardley told Firmstance that all of the items "intended for the Philadelphia Hospitals" should be sent to Ogden. Firmstance is therefore sending a box containing eighteen flannel shirts, twelve hospital shirts, six sheets, six pillowcases, five pairs of slippers, one set of blankets, six towels, a few rags, and pamphlets. Written from Glendon, possibly in New York.

Notes two boxes of "valuable hospital supplies" were received at Hall's storeroom. Thanks Ogden for the supplies, which were "in fine order, of the best quality." Mentions that their most recent arrivals to the hospital are "a very small number of paroled prisoners" and 350 wounded soldiers from City Point. Says everything seems "very uncertain," and she believes that the grief and sadness of the nation appears to be the only definite thing.

Title: [General Order No. 5 related to debt owed to the Filbert Street U.S.A. General Hospital]

The officers and the patients of the Filbert Street U.S.A. General Hospital are in debt to the Ladies' Committee of the Hospital for their attention to the sick and wounded soldiers. They thank the women for their services and convey "sincere wishes for their future health and happiness." On the back of the document is a list of the women in the Ladies' Committees for the 16th and Filbert Street Hospital and the 23rd and Filbert Street Hospital. Written to Sarah Ogden by Deuglin by order of Thomas B. Reed.
