One letter from Oscar Pollinsger to Richard Jerome Silbiger, dated August 22, 1943. Oscar writes that he just got back from an emergency furlough to take care of his dad who had a heart attack. Before his furlough he was in the hospital for heat prostration, and during furlough he caught a cold. He and his father are feeling much better now. He complains about his position and rank to an inspector who promised to help him. He hopes he will be sent to base intelligence to get into cryptanalysis.
