Overall, all seventeen items are tabulated to fetch $56.50. In a separate list on the reverse side is scrawled in pencil a number of items labeled as "J.W. A' Articles given to Bert [Roberta Jeffery?]-" which includes items like "1 pr. Curtains," "1 Tea pot," "1 small Table," and "Market basket." Total number of items in this list is 13.

She claims the "sesech" are trying to cheat people out of money by selling bale cotton for $100 Confederate currency or $2 in silver. Times are rough and many families are starving.
