Hettie (also spelled Hetty) Chippie is listed as President and Mrs. Major Williams as Vice President. Organized to tend to sick and wounded Union soldiers, and to be connected to the Women's Pennsylvania Branch of the United States Sanitary Commission. Includes a list of medical supplies. Contains a preamble declaring "We a number of Colored Ladies of Philadelphia deeming it to be our duty to furnish our brethrin in arms when sick & wounded ...
