Oval albumen bust portrait of Ulysses S. Grant

Signed on the mount and dated by Grant as Lt. General. at City Point, Va. However, the vignetted image probably may have been taken 1862-63 because it shows Grant as a Major General with only two stars. (Image dimensions 20.4 x 15.7 cm.)
