At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

It regards price control and housing legislation, and he suggest the republicans change their slogan to "Vote G.O.P.- and have no chicken in any pot, and two families in every garage." Also contains editorials regarding a further draft to the Army, and China. There is also an article regarding Jewish people abroad looking for relatives that may be in Chicago.
