One letter from Mrs. Earl W. Dorrance to Congressman Carlos J. Moorhead dated October 30, 1973. Dorrance is against the impeachment of President Nixon and writes, "We are appalled at the way visiting dignitaries and heads of governments are treated by the press when they come to this country, surrounded by a pack of uncouth, loud, and insistent press men, and sorry to say, women. It is so embarrassing to watch, they are so ill-mannered. As for John Tunney, he can't even keep his own house in order! He wants to impeach the President, for what? We hope Mr. Nixon continues to fire all these evil influences in high positions! We cannot understand how Senator Kennedy can stand up in public and say what he does, when he is a drunken murderer. He has the money to hush things up...(The above sounds so unkind, but we are frustrated! The hatred of the press and politians [sic] against Mr. Nixon knows no bounds!)"
