One letter to Frances Davenport dated May 17, 1865. Says that no passes are now needed to visit Peterborough of Richmond but does not know about other places. States that the main caution will still have to be for their safety as troops will be stationed at Fredericksburg to protect the inhabitants. The signature is illegible.
