One letter from John T. Meyers to Frances Davenport dates June 22, 1864. He is sorry to say that he cannot give her any new information on the death of her husband. He remembers dressing the wounds of several men of the 5th Regiment during the battle in the wilderness. Informs her that he has looked over the list of killed and wounded.
