One letter from William Jackson to Samuel Leonard dated January 30 1863. Jackson is asking to resign from his post as Captain of Company C of the thirteenth Regiment of the Massachusetts Volunteers. The inside of the folio is a certification of ill health for Jackson. As well as notes concerning the process of the resignation.
