One letter from Elizabeth McClintoch to Congressman Carlos J. Moorhead dated July 31, 1974. McClintoch supports the impeachment of President Nixon. She cites Article II of the Constitution, which states the President must not misuse his power. She continues on to say that she would hope the members of the House and all citizens would band together to show the current and future Presidents that they must hold sacred their oath of office. She writes, "It is important to me that the citizens of the United States remind the President, and future Presidents, that they must hold sacred their oath of office, and that they must be held accountable for their actions. No one should be above the Laws of our Country."
