One pamphlet entitled, "Step by Step with Interracial Groups," by Dorothy I. Height dated 1948. Height analyzes the meaning of "interracial," at that time, a call for for those in power to not see a racial minority rather a person, and outlines suggestions for how African Americans and other people of color can navigate through the new types of interactions in the workplace, military and at home.
