One letter from Susan Prowell and Raymond James Graeff to Leonard Eugene Graeff dated January 4, 1943. The envelope is addressed to Leonard at a Service School U.S.N.T.S (United States Naval Training School) in Great Lakes, Illinois. Leonard's parents write after receiving two of his letters. His mother, Susan, has not been feeling well. His father, Raymond, relays that Leonard's car battery is dead and the inspection is about expire. Raymond also notes that a woman named Mary Jacobs called and he should expect her letters soon. Also, Raymond assumes that "Fuzzy" is sick of army life at this point. Signed "Dad & Mother."
