Nancy's mother writes, dated Saturday evening, that she tried to reach her at school but was unsuccessful. She mentions that Nancy's dress has arrived at home, that they have been invited to another wedding, and that they also received an invitation to a Jimmy Carson's fiance's shower. Nancy's mother discusses who was and wasn't invited to another engagement party and who felt slighted for not being invited. She mentions that a man called for Nancy and that she "will die with curiosity" until she knows who it is. Nancy's father thinks it was Mr. Adler, and Nancy's mother concedes it probably was him, although she was hoping is was Chuck. She reports that she took her grandmother to the doctor and brings up "The Women" again which Shirley went to see. She closes by mentioning dancing at Nicholls and that Miss D'Alessandra has expressed interest in learning more about it.
