At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Moe reports that he told Esme it may be some time before Sylvia writes but reminds Sylvia to do so since she was so kind to him in England. He wonders why her father relapsed so quickly after coming home from the hospital, and tells Sylvia he is perfectly fine with Olga moving in with her.
