An unsigned letter describing the British invasion of Staten Island and American preparations and provisioning in New York. The writer appears to have been conducting business for the recipient. Losses on p. 1, near center fold (obliterating a word before "Tory Army") and on the top of p. 2 affecting some lines of text.
