Brigadier General Hawkins instructs the commander of the 2nd Brigade, United States Colored Troops to inform the Colonels of the 50th and 52nd Regiment, and the Quartermaster of the 47th Regiment that their long delay in obeying orders "makes their conduct very much like disobedience of orders When an order is issued it is expected that it will be obeyed as soon as practicable ... " This note appears to have been clipped from another, larger document and contains unrelated handwritten text on the reverse side.
