Book contains 171 pages of text and an appendix of 109 pages (paginated in roman numerals and ending in cix). Index at front provides an alphabetical listing of subjects in the book, ranging from Accoutrements to Exercise to Yeoman. Text contains 14 diagrams of naval guns marked diagram A-N. Various charts are also used to support the text. Appendix contains further charts and illustrations of naval equipment. Crude drawing of a silhouette between pages 164-165. Inside front cover and first page have cryptic scribbles written on them. Binding appears to have been repaired and new leather added.
