Union occupation newspaper. Includes articles concerning Naval prizes, Burnside's march from Crab Orchard to Knoxville, news from Morris Island, Vallandingham, the Sanitary Commission, capture of the tugboat "Herald,"Ohio soldiers, and voting. Also includes a poem titled "Heroes of Fort Wagner." Half of a blue postage stamp and remnants of red wax indicate the paper had been mailed.
