The center of the image shows a shallow pool of water and a destroyed cannon and carriage. On the left side there is a cannon and two pyramids of satcked cannon balls. Wooden steps lead up to the cannon but only the top few are still in place. A Federal soldier stands in the center of the image, leaning against the earthen magazine. Inscription on verso: "Oldway Gardner Coll." Numeric notations on verso: "XXII" and "5-6."
