An unidentified battery. A small squad of soldiers is lined up in front of a tent on the left side of the image holding what appears to be sabres at the position of salute. The battery is aligned in an open formation, battle position with limbers to the rear. A line of buildings is visible in the background. Inscription on verso: "oval cut 6 1/4 wide by about 3 high" and "Foux." Numeric notation on verso: "5134"; "V"; and "143663-1-175." Inscription on verso: "Unidentified battery." Stamp of the Century company and several rectangles drawn with pencil are also on verso.
