The man in civilian dress is opening a flask and the officer standing on the right holds a tin cup. The second officer sits in a camp chair between the two other men. The rank insignia is blurred. Inscription on verso: "Genl. Ordway Gardner Coll." Numeric notation: "222 XXXV."
