Written on stationery of the General Commandery of the Naval Order of the United States. Written by Cheney as the group's General Recorder to Walker as a retired Rear Admiral. Happily reports to Walker that he was unanimiously elected at the Triennial Congress of the Naval Order to the office of General Commander. He is to serve until 5 October 1901. Asks to be notified of his acceptance.
