At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Printed at the "Daily Confederate" Office in Raleigh. Consists of the proceedings of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina for 1864. Back of cover says these proceedings should be "read at some convenient time, for the information of members of their respective Lodges." Lists dues collected, lodges in North Carolina, and returns of members in each lodge in the state. Stab-stitched in original wrappers. Slight water damage. Some folds in the booklet.
