Pro-slavery newspaper. The article "Questions Gingerly Touched and Tenderly Asked" harshly criticizes the "Ohio State Journal" for its previous criticism of "the Crisis". Also includes a speech by Samuel S. Cox of Ohio, given at the House of Representatives on June 6, 1862 entitled "Emancipation and its Results-- Is Ohio to be Africanized?" (pages 162-163 and 166).
