Reports on his inspection of the military stores under Captain Bryant's charge at the armory in Springfield, Massachusetts and expresses his approval. Lists items still in need of inspection. Provides instructions for making sure the "four pounders" can "carry a six pound ball" and for selling damaged pieces through the newspaper. Asks for an expense report for constructing a wall around the magazine.
