At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

DeLancey writes that he accepts Philip's offer to take goods for the bills of credit in the hands of Phillip Schuyler. He notes that he will not touch the bills until Philip has received a quantity of goods equalling the full amount of the bills. Docketed on address leaf.
