The document states that Johannes Slingerlant and Hend[rick] Gerritse are bound to the people and city of Albany for the sum of 50 pounds. It then goes on to explain that both Slingerlant and Gerritse have a pass from the Governor to trade with the 5 Nations, and if they decide not to trade with the Indians for peltry, then the current financial obligation will be declared void. Slingerlant and Gerritse signed with their marks.
