Vetch writes to warn Livingston of Nicolson's hostility toward Livingston and Governor Hunter, and also explains his own conflicts with the man. Vetch also indicates that Nicolson is not interested in sorting out Livingston's account with the palatines, and expresses his hope that Livingston will not have to travel to Great Britain in order to get his money.
